3 Sides To Your Story of Success

By Michael Twomey

Have you ever heard that there are three sides to every story? Everyone has their own point of view from which they experience life. Now you can use this powerful concept to inspire yourself to greater happiness and success!

Well, in this article I want to show you a simple way that you can harness this powerful technique right away to become more successful in your life.

As with any interaction and especially with disagreements there are different viewpoints and each person feels that they are right. Ego filters out facts and self interest shades things in a certain way and this is just a fact of life. Or is it? Many people think this is a fact and other people find it sad.

Yet now you can use this "sad fact" to your advantage.

By taking this concept and allowing you to see things from three points of view and choosing the best one. I will explain more but first I just wanted to remind you how important a journal can be for your progress and in helping you maintain what you have worked so hard for and earned.

Memory can be a fickle thing and we might wish to remember things different from how they really happened. Some people remember things in a more flattering light while others remember it as having been worse than it really was. So by having an experience and recording it as quickly and accurately as possible you will discover some amazing things.

And by using this basic human tendency we will get the best of all worlds.

STEPS.

1. Start by recording a journal.

2. At the end of the day take a few minutes and focus on a fairly neutral experience and write it down as accurately as you can.

3. Now take this same experience and write a worst case scenario. Exaggerate the bad and not so good details and blow them way out of proportion. It is a good sign if you find yourself starting to smile or laugh at how ridiculous the experience is sounding.

4. Now take this same experience and write a best case scenario. What could you have done or said or felt to make things better? What resources or skills or qualities or talents would have helped you the most?

5. Now list these qualities, actions, beliefs, etc. and rewrite the experience as if you already had these skills, talents, beliefs and notice how much better you feel.

6. Now mentally rehearse this best case scenario with you saying and doing all the right things in the right way that makes the experience so much better. This will start to become more who you are and of course I have people practice this in a deeper trance state to really make this concept even more powerful. So start practicing this 3 sides to every story concept in this way and notice your progress.

Now instead of writing a part 2 of this article I will share more with you right now because I will be very busy over the next few weeks.

Most people want to keep whatever success they already have and this can also help with this. So when and if you feel your success slipping from your grasp you can go back to where you first noticed making progress or enjoying your life more and review your accurate notes.

This can help you get back into the correct state and you can recall a few tips or actions that helped you the most. Also you may find that most of your progress occurred when you went to a certain place or at a certain time or with a certain person and how these things all helped your state.

I do believe that state is one of the most important elements in any type of success.

P.s. True to my word I have been keeping a journal which mostly relates to some new things I have been training in and studying and incorporating into my practice. It is an invaluable tool and it just takes a few minutes a day to help lock in your progress or help you determine what needs the most work for you to improve and live the kind of life you want to have.
