Have You Ever Felt A Sense Of Achievement

By Sam Crowley

Achievements, whether large or small, are spring boards to a successful life.

In life there are so many negative things which we hold onto. The past can often hold us back and it seems to be so much easier to just think about the negative things that have happened to us, rather than the positive. However if we continue to live our lives thinking about things which we cannot change instead of thinking about the things that we can, we will never truly feel a sense of achievement in life.

What have you achieved?

Even though we do mainly only think about the negative incidents a lot of the time, there are things in our lives which we have achieved. It is important to recognise these achievements if we are to live a fulfilled and happy life and also so that we go on to achieve even more great things too.

Your past achievements could include:

Finding a new job Completing your education Overcoming a personal struggle Getting married Raising children

No matter what it is, you will have some previous achievements no matter how down about yourself you feel. Make a list of your own achievements and that will make you realise just how well you have handled past situations and how strong you truly are.

Once you have written down what you have achieved, it is then time to write down what you want to achieve in the future.

What do you want to Achieve?

Thinking about what you want to achieve in the future will help you to stay focused. People who do not strive to be the best that they can be and who do not try to achieve everything that they want to achieve are simply not living a very fulfilling life.

Absolutely anything that you want can be achieved somehow. It might not be easy and very likely it will take a lot of hard work; but it can be achieved. If you want it badly enough you will find a way to make it happen.

For example, if you want a new job - you can find one. There are so many ways in which you can look for a job; and if you have not got the right skills just yet for the job that you need, you can easily get them by going to college part time. It is easier to think that you cannot achieve the skills that you need when the reality is that if you want it bad enough, you really can.

No matter what you want to achieve it can be done and that is the main thing that you need to remember. Forget about the excuses that hold you back. You deserve to achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve. Surround yourself with inspiration as well as motivation and that way you will be able to stay positive and remember what is truly important. Write your future goals down and state clearly what you need to do to achieve those goals.

Overall there really is no greater sense of pride than knowing that you have achieved something which you wanted to achieve. Recognize your past achievements and remember how good you felt when you achieved them. A fulfilled life cannot be led if there is no achievement within it.

Getting In the Flow -- Using The Law Of Attraction

By Jon Mercer

The Law of Attraction is a powerful philosophy to create your world any way you want it. A basic tenant of this philosophy is "like attracts like," and because of this, it is really important that you feel good as much as possible in your day-today life if you want to attract more good things into your life.

The Law of Attraction is a powerful philosophy to create your world any way you want it. A basic tenant of this philosophy is "like attracts like," and because of this, it is really important that you feel good as much as possible in your day-today life if you want to attract more good things into your life.

But even a Law of Attraction coach such as myself can lose site of the "big picture" now and then, as the following true story illustrates:

A few days ago I was working on a video for a new project I am involved with. There was no real rush on the project, so I had the luxury of taking all the time I needed. And to be honest, I wasn't really feeling "in the mood" to do the project on that particular day, and yet, for some reason, I found myself feeling pressured to get something productive accomplished. There was no outside pressure to do this, so obviously, it was all coming from within! I was putting pressure on myself!

I was in effect trying to "force" things to go well and to get a lot done, even though I knew I was not really "feeling" it.

Sometimes even the coach needs a coach, and luckily my partner Elisabeth is usually there to fit the bill. on this occasion she spoke up with a very appropriate comment, "don't sweat it so much--it's not supposed to be hard work." It was as if a 500 watt light bulb came on above my head...

I'm constantly amazed how often people need to be reminded of things they already know (and by "people" I mean "me").

The moral of the story? If you find that anything you are trying to do in life is really hard work, it's an excellent idea to ask yourself, "am I going with the flow here, or am I going against the flow?" For example, if you are trying to improve your life in any way (lose weight, make more money, attract a perfect partner, etc.), it has been my experience that trying too hard is usually counterproductive. In other words, you want to be serious about your intention to change, but you don't want to take anything too seriously. It's just not productive.

A great way to ensure that you're not taking things too seriously is to look for the humor in your situation. Even in the bad things, the things you want to change. Because let's face it, when you really think about it, most of our failings and imperfections are pretty funny. Seeing the humor in your "flaws" is actually a way accepting yourself. This type of acceptance is the ideal place to start from when you wish to improve your life.

Carlos Mencia is famous for saying, "if you're not laughing, you're not living," and that's pretty accurate. As long as you can laugh at yourself and your imperfections, you are on the right track and improvement is within site. Keep laughing, and you are sure keep progressing.

How to Guarantee Success or Failure: Overcoming of Habit

By Carol Biondo

Your choice: guarantee success by overcoming your bad habits and building up your character or guarantee your failure by refusing to do so. To find a way to escape from evil habit and weaknesses of character, we must go deeper than actual deeds, for actions are effects of hidden causes. The cause of all action is thought. A thought, someone has said, is an action in the process of being born. It is true that we possess primitive desires and impulses, but these can be changed into noble actions and high achievement, thus guaranteeing your success, simply by directing the thoughts and attention to higher and better aims, ambitions and pursuits.

It is impossible to overcome bad habits by fighting them, for the more we fight them the stronger they become. The way of escape is not by fighting evil or wrong habit, no matter what its character may be, but by concentrating upon building a good habit that shall cut the ground from under the feet of the bad one.

Whatever we fix our attention upon, or whatever it is that we idealize, our subconscious mind endeavors to actualize and make real in our life. By fighting a habit we direct subconscious attention to it, and this is fatal, for failure will sure follow. If, however, we turn our whole attention to something entirely different and which is of higher and better, all the powers of the subconscious are directed towards the production, in life and body, of the new object of attention and success will surely manifest.

We see, therefore, that we do not have to overcome habit. If we did our task would be hopeless, for the human will is helpless before the power of the subconscious mind. The subconscious powers can be led by the imagination, but they cannot be coerced by will. The will must be used not to fight the habit, but in raising and directing the attention to something higher and better. By this means a new habit is formed. The attention of the subconscious mind is taken away from the bad habit, and all its powers directed towards the creation of a new and better one. The subconscious does not care what the habit is. It is indifferent as to whether it is good or bad. It is just as willing to produce a good habit as a bad one. We, each of us, therefore, hold our fate in our own hands. We, can, by controlling our thoughts and imagination and by directing our attention to better things, focus all the powers of the subconscious on the building up of good habits, or, on the other hand, we can, by allowing our thoughts and mental pictures to low or weak ideals, fall into undesirable habits. The power that produces the habits is the same in each case; it is the way in which this power is directed that is vital and essential to guaranteeing your success or failure.

It is very necessary to point out that right thinking and correct use of the imagination must be accompanied by corresponding right action. Many people make use of affirmations and expect it to destroy their bad habits and build up better ones, but it never will, or can do so, unaided. Affirmations are useless if it is not followed by constructive action. Most people will find it necessary to do something in order to attract their attention and guide their thoughts to something quite different from the forbidden subject. They should expend our energies in physical culture, hobbies and intellectual pursuits. Later on, however, when they become more advanced in the science of right thinking, they will be able to direct their thoughts into any desired direction. This necessitates constant vigilance. Each thought has to be carefully scrutinized before being allowed to pass the threshold of the mind. By reversing every negative or unworthy thought into its opposite, a change is wrought in the brain and nervous system. The cells formerly used for wrong thinking and for the production of wrong action and failure go out of use as new cells are brought into use for the production of right action and guaranteed success.

This stage leads to one higher still, when it becomes a settled habit to reverse bad thoughts into good ones and perform right actions instead of bad or weak one. The power of the subconscious mind, which at one time seemed so evil, produces right action more or less automatically. When once the habit of cleaning the teeth is established there is experienced an uncomfortable feeling until they have been attended to. When once a dirty person has learnt to wash himself thoroughly and keep himself decent, he will feel uncomfortable if he gets dirty. The same rule applies in the more important things and habits of life. If those who are in the bondage of habit will only direct their thoughts and attention to the building up of good habits, their old weaknesses will die a natural death.

It must not be thought that the victory over life-long habits is easy. It may seem so at first, but sooner or later temptation will com with added force, which may result in a sad fall. If this should happen it is most important that too much attention should not be paid to the incident. Instead, the beginner should pick himself up, and, making a mental note of the immediate cause of his downfall, thus benefiting by the experience, press on again towards freedom. It is most helpful to realize that not only is the subconscious mind willing to be guided right, if we will only persevere long enough (until persevering itself becomes a habit), but that we also have behind us all the Spiritual powers of God. The Infinite One sees to it that the odds are not overwhelmingly against us. Our difficulties are not insuperable, although they may appear to be so.

Romans 5:1-5 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

We can always win through if we faint not. Heaven looks on with sympathetic interest and rejoices with the struggler when he succeeds, and mourns with him when he fails. The struggle is a stiff one, for it is only by this that the seeker after God can become strong in character, but success can always be won. When the situation appears hopeless, let the struggling one remember that there is a way to escape somewhere, and that God, who is his freedom and deliverer, will reveal it to him if he faints not. If all who seek deliverance will realize that the Power of the Infinite is on their side and that success is guaranteed if they will only keep on. And what a joy is theirs! There is no happiness quite like that which comes to one who has fought the good fight and overcome habit and weaknesses of character.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 57:10 You were wearied by all your ways, but you would not say, 'It is hopeless.' You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.

May every reader experience this supreme joy of overcoming and succeeding.

Learning How To Move On

By Sam Crowley

Leave your failures behind but be sure to take the learnings with you. Most importantly, learn to move on.

In order to live your life the way that you truly want to, there are various things which you need to do. Letting go is just one of them and it is perhaps one of the most important things which you will need to learn to do.

Perhaps you need to move on from the past? Or maybe you need to move on from a failed relationship? No matter what it is that is holding you back, by letting go and moving on you are allowing yourself to be truly happy.

Moving On and Achieving Success

If you want to be successful in life you will need to know where you are going. You also need as much positive energy surrounding you as possible so that you do not get held back. By allowing something to hold you back you can only stay in the same, unfulfilling life as what you are currently leading; and generally that is not a very healthy existence.

By learning to move on you are learning to accept that sometimes there is nothing else you can do. You can fight it and stay tied to the past, wallowing in self defeat, or you can pick yourself up and really make something of yourself. Everybody goes through something that they wish they hadn't, but they cannot change it and by realizing that they learn that they have to move on.

Think of all of the things that you could achieve:

Meeting someone new Moving away and starting again Moving up the career ladder

Whatever you want to do you can do. Only you can change your life and you can do that by picking up the pieces and moving on. Whatever has happened in the past can spur you on to achieve something better in your future. We shape our lives and we are the only ones who can change things for ourselves.

Just because a relationship did not work out, it does not mean that you will not find your ideal partner. It takes time but eventually the damage will heal and you will be able to move on and find somebody who you truly deserve to be with.
The main way to look at your past is to see it as a learning curve. Just think you have to make some poor choices in order to recognize the good ones. In the case of a bad relationship, how can you possibly know when you are onto a good thing if you have never experienced a bad thing? Sometimes you have to go through hard times in order to fully appreciate the good times.

Overall you need to appreciate that what has happened is in your past; and now with the right inspiration and motivation, you can move on to a better future. By moving on and letting go you will feel a lot better and in turn you will look a lot better too. You never truly realize just how much you are being held back until you actually do let go and move on.

How To Successfully Overcome Adversity

By Sam Crowley

Whether you like it or not, adversity will find you. Overcoming adversity is much easier when you have the basic blueprint.

Unfortunately adversity is something which every single one of us has to go through at some point in our lives. It can hold us back, it can damage our motivation and it can basically feel like we are stuck in a terrible situation with no way out.

However there is a way out and there is a way to overcome adversity; you just have to understand the situation and look at it from a different perspective. Think of it as an outside situation for example. When you look at somebody else's life it is easy to see how they can change and you can spot various different ways in which they can get out of the situation that they are in. That is because you are not emotionally attached to the situation and it makes it easier to look at things from different angles.

So, in order to overcome adversity in your life you need to emotionally detach yourself from the situation in order to find a way out.

Acceptance is the Key

The more that you fight against something, the more you will lose. Adversity is something which will affect you at some point and that is something which you need to come to terms with. However, just because you have to accept it; it does not mean that you have to suffer.

Suffering is something which we choose to do whether we realise that we are making a choice or not. It is harder to choose against suffering but you can if you want to. Choose to be strong. If you need to find motivation to be strong then find it in whichever means possible. Anything that makes you stronger, surround yourself with it. Think to yourself "I cannot change this situation but I can change how I feel." By becoming a fighter and not giving up, it will help you through the adversity and you will eventually overcome it.

Try and See Adversity as a Positive Thing

As hard as it may seem, adversity can actually be a positive thing. There is a saying that every single thing happens for a reason and whatever does not kill us makes us stronger. That is certainly true for all of us and if we learn to look at adversity as a lesson instead of letting it drag us down, we can only come out of the experience stronger than before.

Think about it, if there were no challenges in life it would be a fairly boring place to be. We would not win anything and we would not feel the satisfaction that we achieve once we have come through adversity. Whether we accept it or not, adversity truly can be a positive thing and it can give us satisfaction as well as strength.

Overall you can overcome adversity and you are strong enough to do so. Whenever you hear that little voice in your head which says "I cannot do this", simply remind yourself that you can and do not give into the fear and simply give up. If you just accept the situation and get through it as well as you possibly can, you will soon find that you have overcome adversity and that you can now start living the life that you deserve to live.

Be Truthful To Your Own Self To Succeed

By Steven

To achieve the success you desire, you need to be truthful to your own self.
Had a tough day today. The markets were under heavy profit taking. As a day trader, I was doing my best trying to salvage my positions in the markets and cutting losses before the damage becomes too big. I have a feeling this market that has been going up for quite some time, would go through more correction before coming back up again.

Towards the end of the day, I had managed to trim my positions to a very minimum level. A little damage ($) but manageable. There was another reason why I reduced my positions. I would be on a short holiday in Indonesia from tomorrow for almost a week. I am not sure whether I would be able to write as I would be leaving my laptop computer behind. Strict instructions from my wife! She says that I am spending way too much of time with the machine.

Anyway, I have some thoughts to share. Over the years, using my first book, The Seven Basic Laws Of Nature, many people have started new businesses. Quite a large number that used Nature's Laws positively achieved the success that they wanted.

Here, I would like to be honest with you. Although there are many successes, there are those who had encountered failures (or I call them temporary defeats). I can write on and on about those who succeeded, but in this entry, I would like to share some thoughts with regards to those who went through these so-called temporary defeats.

One of my seminar participants and a good friend, encountered this temporary defeat a number of years back. He was doing quite well as a quality control executive of an automobile company that assembled luxury cars. Although he earned well, he never really had much time for himself as he was always occupied with his job. Deep in him, he wanted to know more about himself, the universe, existence, Nature and all that jazz.

This is when the Law of Vibration and Attraction comes in to effect; changes began to take place in his life as per his constant and powerful thoughts. The company he was working for were trying to cut cost as they were losing the dealership for one of their popular car model. As such, they offered him a VSS (Voluntary Separation Scheme) that amounted to quite a large sum of money because he had been working in the company for many years.

He took the option and used the money to start a business in the food industry. He got together with a relative and they produced a local delicacy in large scale to supply to the local supermarkets. He now had more time to pursue the things that he wanted to do. At first business was good but eventually things begin to go wrong, as there were some misunderstandings with his partners. He tried desperately to continue managing and hang on to the ailing business. More and more of his money was going down the drain.

While telling me about his situation, he told me that he practiced Nature's Laws positively and he sincerely could not see what he was doing wrong. I smiled and said that in order for Nature's Laws to work positively to provide positive results, he must search deeply within him what he really wanted in his life. He looked at me intently waiting for me to explain. I said to him, "My friend, in order for the whole of Nature to work with you, not only you need to practice Nature's Laws positively, but you also need to be truthful to your own self!"

Then, I asked him whether the business that he ventured into was something that his heart had really wanted to do. He replied that it was not really his first option. In fact, he loved the automobile industry more. He was in the current business because he saw the money that can be made. Then I suggested to him to pursue his original love, that is the automobile industry. This is when he said that he could not afford to because he had lost all his money in the current business venture. I asked him whether there was a way to salvage it. He replied saying that he cannot seem to find a way. I looked at him intently and said, "My friend, I think it is time to cut your losses and move on!"

After much thought, he took the advice and closed the business. As he did this and started to pursue a business in the automobile industry, in a relatively short period of time, he got a contract to fix high-end alarm system to luxury cars. Now, he is earning much better than before, and has more time for himself.

All through our life, we are taught subconsciously about attachment. We get attached to our family, material wealth, position at work and so on. Please note that I am not saying that attachment is bad. As long as we are in this physical body and living on this plane of existence, attachment will naturally exist. However, it is also vitally important to learn of the other aspect of life, which is called detachment. We come into this world alone and we eventually leave alone. All that we have acquired is from this world and eventually we have to return it back to this world including the body.

As such, always have a balanced view of life. Develop your intellect to be able to choose, as per the Law of Choosing; that is to choose to be attached and also detached when the need arises.

As for me, I have cut my losses for the day, but I will be back another day, as my heart is still in day trading. It is a part and parcel of the game (winning and losing). Kind of sounds like LIFE doesn't it?

Achieve Success By Facing Obstacles And Learning Nature's Lessons

By Steven

Try to see the lessons that Nature is teaching. It may be difficult at first but eventually you would learn from it and move one step closer to your truth.

As I was boarding my flight to Jakarta, my mind was on a conversation I had the previous day with one of my participant who is also a good friend.

He was exasperated as he told me of his predicament. One of his business competitors was causing problems for him. He was spreading malicious rumors about his company that it is about to hit bankruptcy, thus he is not capable of providing the necessary services which comes with the products that he sold.

At first, my friend did not give much attention to the issue, but things were getting worse. The problems caused by this person were getting more serious, and my friend was beginning to lose some of his big clients. As his industry is a niche industry regulated by laws, the rumors were also reaching the relevant authorities. It is now becoming a bigger headache for my friend.

I was quiet, listening to him. As he finished, he said that he was angry and feels like doing something. However, he was quick to add that he was aware of the working of Nature's Laws that everything is happening for some reasons. But he acknowledged the difficulty in handling the situation. At this point, I said to him that if he were to do what his business rival did, then there would be no difference between him and the other chap. I just asked him to calm down first, and then think.

If something has happened, then it has to happen. As he was about to reply to that, in a firm tone I said that it is not whether what was happening is right or wrong, but it has happened, then it must happen! It is what Nature or God, or whatever that you want to call the great force that creates and sustains life, wants the event to take place. "First, accept it!", I said. Then try to see the lessons that Nature is teaching. It may be difficult at first but eventually you would learn something. If you are going to be angry and upset about it then the lesson would be lost! Then, the whole process would repeat again until you learn your lessons.

Then I continued that Nature's Laws would take its own course. The Law Of Energy Returns Back to Source, in other words, "What Goes Around, Comes Around." The chap who is going around spoiling your name would eventually be dealt with by Nature, as such this is not what you should be worried about.

"It is you my friend. How are you going to handle yourself in this situation? Nature is building a YOU, character wise, your intuition, ability to handle difficult situation and so on. The only way it is going to do this is by giving you OBSTACLES. All you have to do is PRESERVE, stand tall and face this problem head on and solve. As you are doing that you would learn your lessons and ultimately become a better person in terms of knowledge, experience and awareness!".

He was quiet after listening to me. I felt he was calmer and I proceeded to tell him to handle one problem at a time. I said, "First make an appointment with the government agency that oversees his field and tell them of your company and let them know that your company is alright and you are determined to give the best in your services. Then approach your clients and let them know of the same. BUT never ever mention anything negative about the other chap. You just concentrate on what you are doing and let nature take care of the rest!"

As I said this, he confessed he felt somewhat better and calmer, and he said he would heed my advice. He thanked me, wishing me a good holiday.

As I boarded my flight, I made a mental note to call him once I am back.

Finding True Success In This World

By Courtney

An examination of what it takes to find true success in this world.

Most of the success created by great business people really has little to do with trends, climate, and circumstance. These great leaders can create a profit in any kind of circumstances. Of course they take advantage of trends and everything else, but they do not rely on them

Everything in this world has outside influence, but it comes down to realization of self-evaluation and the ability to alter what is and isn't bringing success. I believe that there are things out there we can take advantage of that can help us, but in the end it comes down to you as the individual.

You have the obligation to look at your self in the mirror and say, "What positive things are being done and what can I build on? What am I doing wrong that I can fix?" People don't realize that success lies in the subtlest of changes. These changes can alter the course of one person's existence.

The gap between yes and no and right and wrong are not that far apart. As easy as it is to fail in the business world, it truly is as easy to be successful. It comes down to you and your determination. Can you fail enough until you learn how to do it right or will you succumb to fear, pressure, and depression?

"Every time I fail," said Thomas Edison, "I learn something." He tried 1,114 times to find a filament to stay lit in a bulb. He failed 1,113 times. That might look on the surface as a failure, but yet he became one of the most valued individuals of our time and impression is felt even today.

What can be said for you and your road to success? You can look at your failures as roadblocks or steps toward your eventual triumph. It is truly up to you and your mindset. One important fact that needs to be noted that when you are evaluating your business make sure to not only realize the errors, but also notice the success.

Value those moments and compliment those that helped you to accomplish them. If you focus on negativity a lot then you will only create more negativity and failure. If you focus on success and doing whatever you can to achieve it then there will come a time when all you expect and look for is success.

You will know what it looks like and how it tastes. It will be as common to you as any of the feelings of your senses. It will seem natural and people will call it so. They will claim that you had a natural born gift. They will believe that you were blessed with it and will envy you. Hopefully deep down inside you will know that they have the same capacity, but lack possibly the knowledge to help them accomplish it.

Nothing comes that natural unless you make it a natural part of your life. What is exciting about success is that when you do it in one area then you can do it in numerous other areas. It will seem endless to you. That is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

It is a widening gap that requires a greater deal of education for those that don't have those tools and just maybe you are the one to give it.

Fear of Failure

By Margaret Paul, Ph.D.

Failure! What do you feel when you think about failure? Inadequate? Unworthy? Unlovable? It is so sad that you might have learned to link failure to your value as a person. Most people who are successful in their work and their relationships have experienced many failures along their road to success. Thomas Edison, the inventor of the electric bulb, is often quoted regarding failure:

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.""I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.""Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.""Show me a thoroughly satisfied man, and I will show you a failure."If Edison has been afraid of failure, or believed that failure meant he was inadequate, he would never have invented the light bulb!In order to achieve success in any area of your life, you need to redefine failure. Instead of seeing failure as an indication of your inadequacy or lack of worth, you need to see failure as a stepping-stone to success. Some of the most financially successful people experienced repeated failures.

* Walt Disney was a high school drop out who suffered bankruptcy and repeated financial and business disasters.

* Milton Hershey, chocolate maker and founder of the famous Hershey Foods Corp., found success only after filing for bankruptcy for his first four candy companies.

* Henry Ford filed for bankruptcy for the first car company he started. He didn't succeed until he started his third company, Ford Motor Company.

* After P.T. Barnum, American showman, went bankrupt, he joined forces with circus operator James A. Bailey to found Barnum and Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth.

Why Your Values Matter To Your Success!

By Ryan Kiew

Have you ever wondered why people behave in a certain way, or make decisions in a particular style? What makes us so unique such that it is so easy for our friends, family or colleagues to identify or even predict our actions? I guess that one way of explaining this would be that each individual is defined by his personal value system which also influences how successful we can become!

A simple definition of personal values would be the convictions regarding what we believe is important and desirable for ourselves. Every person has their own core set of personal values that guide their decisions which makes each of us different and distinctive from other people. They represent our highest priorities and subconsciously guides us in all our behavior towards events, decisions, choices and action in our daily lives.

Here is an example of personal values that I have in no particular order:

* Time Freedom
* Personal Growth
* Discovery
* Financial Freedom
* Independence
* Security
* Pleasure
* Adventure
* Challenge
* Ambition

As you can see, as our values guide us in all our decisions, our success is largely dependent on the set of core personal values that we have. However, it is not just the personal values we possess that are important but the order and priority that we have for these values are just as important as well. As you can see from my own example, some of these values can often be in conflict with each other. When trying to decide whether I should watch some TV or read a self-help book, if my value of pleasure takes precedence over that of personal growth, I would decide to waste my time watching some senseless TV instead of spending it more wisely to learn something new.

So in order to become successful, we should first start by becoming self-aware of our core personal values. By learning about what is important to us, we can then consciously strategize, prioritize, change and improve our value systems so that it facilitates and assists us in achieving our dreams instead of sabotaging it.

Therefore, start now to learn more about yourselves by listing down your personal values, and make an effort to choose the values that are most impactful to your success and eliminate those that are detrimental to it.

Turn Your Potential Into Success

By Ralph Jean-paul

Do you know someone with an extraordinary talent? Maybe that person is a gifted athlete, artist, or musician. Or perhaps that person has a mind for business, is a master with numbers, or knows precisely how to handle people. Although this person has these gifts that some people would die for, they never seem to use their gift to help them reach their full potential. Or maybe they are applying their skills but just can’t seem to get past a certain level of accomplishment. Maybe you know someone like that. Maybe that someone is you. Everyone has the potential to be someone great. But sometimes the journey to greatness seems so impossible most never make the trip. Others start the journey but get so discouraged by obstacles and setbacks that they give in before they reach their destination. Here are five steps you can take to harness your potential so you can get to the promise land of success.

Know where you are going.

If someone were to ask you where do you see yourself financially in 5 years what would you say? You might say something like "I’d like to have enough money to get out of debt or buy a bigger house". Those are good goals to have but how much money is enough money? Most people generalize their goals so much that specifics of what they want aren’t clear to them. That’s like if you asked someone where they were going on their vacation and they said, "We’re going to Florida and we’re staying near a beach". You’d probably wonder where in Florida and which beach? If that person is really planning on going to Florida they are eventually going to have to decide whether they want to go to Daytona, Miami, or Key West. Once they’ve decided to go to Miami then getting there will be easier. The same is true of your goals. Write your goals down so you can see them. The sooner you know where you are going, the sooner you will get there.

Practice Your Potential

The most common mistake that most people make on their voyage is that they are not prepared for opportunities. The reason that they are not prepared for opportunities is that they did not practice their potential. In order for you to succeed you must be prepared for success. For example consider former NBA basketball player Steve Kerr. He would practice relentlessly and shoot hundreds of shots a day. Kerr’s most memorable moment came in 1997 championship game when his teammate Michael Jordan passed him the ball and Steve made the game winning shot. Although Steve Kerr shot hundreds of shots in preparation for the games, he only attempted a few shots a game. So why practice a hundred shots if you are only going to shot a few? Because those hundreds of shots Steve Kerr took were to prepare him for that one crucial time when he would need to make one important shot. You see if you want to succeed at something you have to be prepared for that moment of success. Read up on how others have succeeded where you want to succeed and be prepared for your moment when it comes.

Develop successful habits

The difference between the people who succeed and the people who fail lie in their habits. Most people might shrug off bad habits as something they’ve always done and will always do so there is no point in changing them. The truth is the very habits that they have accepted are the very reason they have not found success in some areas of their lives. If you were a manager and you had a choice to promote two people one who had a habit of being tardy and not completing assignments. And another who was always early and saw a project through to completion, which one would you choose?

Bounce back quickly

Success is a journey. This journey is littered with obstacles and setbacks that are designed to test your resiliency. These obstacles can be discouraging and can create the feeling of failure. Once that feeling is there you may entertain thoughts of giving up the journey. In order for you to bounce back quickly you must prepare yourself for these obstacles internally and externally. Do all that you can to prevent these setbacks from happening but if they do happen, remind yourself of your goal. Surround yourself with positive people who will encourage you when you are tempted to give up. Keep motivational materials around also. Posting motivational quotes or reading success stories may give you that recharge that you need to keep you going. The quicker you bounce back the quicker you will reach your goal.

Keep on Succeeding

Accomplishments feel good and encourage us to continue on to where we want to go. But once we succeed there is a way to keep on succeeding. The journey of success is never boring and never easy. There is always someone out there who will look at the things you have accomplished and wish they could do the same. Helping others succeed is the best way to keep on succeeding. Since you made it through the fire and came out a success, you’ve gained a lot of experience and will probably have a lot to share. Imagine the encouragement someone will feel when you tell them the story of your success and how you made it through those same obstacles that they are now facing. Passing on knowledge, resources, and wisdom to someone who has the same vision of success that you have is one of the most rewarding feelings anyone can have.

You have the potential…now it’s time to succeed.

Law of Success: Reaping and Sowing

By Carol Biondo

Man reaps through the ages exactly what he sows thus putting into action the Law of success. Life is perfectly just and rewards every man according to his works. The fate of the present is the reaping of his sowing in, it may be, a distant past. Therefore, the disasters and sufferings of his life must not be attributed to the interference of a capricious and unreasonable God, for the truth is, they are due to the exact working of a perfectly just law.

Because the disasters in man’s life are due to past wrong doing, it naturally follows that his future depends upon the kind of life that he lives today. If, in the past, he has created for himself a sequence of events and experiences, from which pain and suffering occurred, it is obvious that his future depends entirely upon how he lives the present. It will be seen that if man can learn the lessons of the past, and live in such a way as to cease creating trouble for the future, he has learned the law of success; reaping and sowing blessings instead of difficulties.

If the experiences of life are resisted, or an attempt is made to evade its discipline, troubles and difficulties will repeat, becoming more painful and insistent until their lesson is learnt and the life changed accordingly. Therefore man has it in his power greatly to improve his present life, as well as to create a far better future, simply be living his life to-day in harmony with Divine Law. Further, it is necessary to point out that all thought and action have an immediate as well as a far reaching effect. It is true that the full effect of life here is not reaped until after our little course on this plane has been run, but great differences are effected in the present life nevertheless. The way a youth makes use of, or throws away his opportunities, either makes or mars, to a very large extent, his adult success. Opportunities, once allowed to pass, can never be recalled. Sins committed and wrongs done to our fellow men have an unpleasant habit of repeating themselves in a reversed way later in life. For instance, a man may get on in life, and, in his selfish climb, may trample on one weaker than himself, ruining him and driving him to despair. Years afterwards, he will probably be treated in exactly the same way by someone stronger and more favorably situated than himself. Therefore, there is a sowing and reaping that finds fruition in his life. The reaping may be delayed ten or twenty years, but it will come. "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Those, therefore, who think that life is not just, and who whine and complain about the way they are treated, are simply increasing their own troubles and failures. Until man realizes that the cause of all his emotional pain and troubles is within himself he can never do anything to remedy matters, because, obviously, the only thing that is required is for him to change within. Man has to become changed within before his life can be altered. His thoughts, his ideals, his emotions, his attitude towards life must all become transformed. When this change has been effected, not only does he understand the law of success and begins to repair his present life, but he creates a future of unlimited success.

Job 4:8 As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Man, then, has to change. His desires and aspirations, instead of being directed towards hate and evil must be transformed to love and good. Instead of wallowing in lust and selfishness he must lift himself to higher and better things. How can this be done? It can be achieved by the Infinite Power within. It is only when man realizes his oneness with the Infinite and believes that Omnipotent Power is at his disposal, that the Spiritual Power within becomes available. So long as man doubts and fears or disbeliefs, this special power is not available. It is his, but his state of heart and mind prevents him from either realizing the presence of the Power or making use of it. Before the machinery of a workshop can run it must be connected up with the engine room. In the same way, man, before he can live the new life and achieve success, must become one with the Infinite Life and Power.

Entering this new life of power, does not take away life’s experiences, it trials, troubles and adversities, but the change within does prevent the creation of unnecessary troubles, emotional pain and suffering. Man’s life will be richly successful the higher he rises into union with God and Infinite Love, uses the law of success, and reaps and sows blessings into the lives of others.

Do You Know How To Achieve Success: Infinite Life and Power?

By Carol Biondo

Achieving Success is obtainable when man realizes he possesses unlimited power. This power is of the Spirit, therefore, it is unconquerable. It is not the power of an ordinary life or human mind. It transcends these, because, being spiritual, it is of a higher order than either physical or even mental. This power lies dormant, and is hidden within man until he is sufficiently evolved and unfolded to be entrusted with its use.

Thought is a spiritual power of tremendous potency, but this is not the power of which we speak. By thought, man can either raise himself up and connect himself with the "Power House" of the Universe, or cut himself off entirely from the Divine Inflow. His thought is his greatest weapon, because, by it he can either draw on the Infinite or sever himself (in consciousness, but not in reality) from his Divine Source.

Through the Divine Spark within him, which is really his real Self, man is connected with the Infinite. Divine Life and Power are his, if he realizes that they are his. So long as he is ignorant of his oneness with the Divine Source of all life, he is incapable of appropriating the power that is really his and thus will not have the ability to achieve unimaginable success. If, however, he enters into this inner knowledge, he finds himself the possessor of infinite power and unlimited resources and achieving unimaginable success will become imaginable.

This Power, then, is God’s, yet it is also man’s, but it is not revealed to him until he is fit to be entrusted with it. It is only when man realizes his oneness with his Divine Source that he becomes filled with its power. There are spiritual powers and influences that withhold the eyes of the seekers from seeing, until they are ready for the revelation. When man, in his search for the Truth, has given up his selfish striving after unworthy things, and has ceased to use his self-will in conflict with the greater Will of the Whole, he is ready for the revelation of his oneness with the Infinite. Yielding implicitly to the Will of the Whole may seem, to the unlightened, an act of weakness, yet it is the entrance to a life of almost boundless power and success.

Man is not separate from his Divine Source and never has been. He is, in reality, one with the Infinite. The separation which he feels and experiences is mental, and due to his blindness and unbelief. Man can never be separated from Spirit, for he himself is Spirit. He is an integral part of one complete whole. He lives and moves and has his being in God (Universal, Omnipresent Spirit), and God (Spirit) dwells in him. The majority of people are unaware of this intimate relationship with the Divine, and because they are unaware, or because they refuse to believe it, they are, in one sense, separated from the inner life of God. Yet this separation is only in their thoughts and beliefs, and not in reality. Man is not separated and never can be, yet so long as he believes that he is separate and alone, he will be as weak and helpless as though he actually were. As soon as man realizes the truth of his relationship to the Infinite, he passes from weakness to power, from death unto life. One moment he is in the desert, afar off, weak, separate, and alone; the next, he realizes that he is nothing less than a child of God, with all a child’s privileges and powers. He realizes, in a flash, that he is one with his Divine Source, and that he can never be separated. He awakens also to the fact that all the Power of the Infinite is his to draw upon; that he can never really fail, that he is marching on to achieving unlimited success.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them

It will thus be seen how great is the power of man’s thought. While thought is not the power of the Spirit, it is the power by which man either connects himself up with the Infinite Power, opening himself to the Divine Inflow, or cuts himself off and separates himself from his Spiritual Source. Thus, in a sense, man is what he thinks he is. If he thinks he is separate from God and cut off from his power, then it is as though this were really the case, and he is just as impotent and miserable as though he actually existed apart from God. On the other hand, if he thinks and believes that he is one with the infinite, he finds that it is gloriously true, and that he is really a child of God. If he believes and thinks that he is a mere material being, then he lives the limited life of a material being, and is never able to rise above it. But if, on the contrary, he thinks and believes that he is a spiritual being, then he finds that he possesses all the powers of a spiritual being.

Again, If he thinks that his work is difficult and that he is not equal to his tasks, he finds that really his task are difficult and beyond his powers. Yet on the other hand, if he believes his work is easy, or, at any rate, within his powers, he finds that such is the case and achieving success can be done with ease.

How to Conquer Your Enemy and Achieve Success in Life

By Nickolove Lovemore

Do you sometimes feel as though, despite your best efforts, that you are not reaping the success you crave? If yes, then it's time to identify and conquer your enemy, that which is sabotaging your success.

Identifying your enemy is a relatively easy matter. Your enemy is really your 'Inner Me'.

Your inner self is the key to your success. It is the rudder which directs you in life and pre-determines your level of success. If you are not getting the results you desire then work on your 'Inner Me' until you consistently start to achieve the goals which you set yourself.

And the work doesn't stop there, for once you start to achieve success your vision will expand and the new goals you set will be even more challenging and more demanding. You will therefore have to keep working on your 'Inner Me' to ensure that it is in harmony with your expanded vision.

Your 'Inner Me' is really your mind and it is your mind and your thoughts that are creating your results. In other words, your inner world is creating your outer world.

"Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes, And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes The Tool of Thought, and shaping what he wills, Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills; he thinks in secret and it comes to pass: Environment is but his looking-glass."James Allen, "As a Man Thinketh"

So if you don't like your current environment start to work on the enemy within if you want to create lasting change. The thing is people are often reluctant to do what it takes to make positive change. I often hear the excuse that working on your inner self or working on your mind is hard. Well, it really is no harder than remaining in your current position. This may sound harsh but you can either choose results or excuses. You can't have both.

Doing the work on your 'Inner Me' will pay huge dividends. When you do the work on you, your actions will, as a consequence, change and the intent and power behind your actions will also change. This will ultimately lead to changes in your results. I say "ultimately" because the changes may not be immediately apparent. You will have to be patient, remain focused and persistent in your efforts. Often it will be when you are pushed to your limits that success will come knocking at your door.

"When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, never give up then, for that is just the time that the tide will turn." Harriet Beecher Stowe
However, conquering your 'Inner Me' is like fighting an opponent you cannot see. I am reminded of one of Jean Claude Van Damme's films where he is temporarily rendered blind during a fight. At first, he lashes out wildly and in panic but later he starts to use his inner resources. He starts to draw upon his other senses. He overcomes his panic, his fear, his opponent and his enemy.

Similarly, you have deep within vast treasure troves of resources. They may be a little stiff from disuse at the moment but with practice you can render them flexible again. Resources such as your imagination, perception, memory, intuition, will power and your ability to reason will serve you well as long as you put them to use on a regular basis.

Your imagination will allow you to see things as you wish them to be not as they are. This will be the first step in re-creating your world.

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."Albert Einstein

Your perception will allow you to see a situation from multiple perspectives thereby giving you a distinct advantage in being able to find solutions to the challenges you face.

"The reality of life is that your perceptions - right or wrong - influence everything else you do. When you get a proper perspective of your perceptions, you may be surprised how many other things fall into place."Roger Birkman
Your memory will help you to quickly recall detailed information you need to make timely decisions.

"The true art of memory is the art of attention." Samuel Johnson
Your intuition will draw upon information that you are not consciously aware of and instinctively guide through the darkest corridors.

"Intuition is the clear conception of the whole at once."Johann Kaspar Lavater
Your will power will give you the strength to be persistent and to hold onto to your vision.

"You may fetter my leg, but Zeus himself cannot get the better of my free will."Epictetus

Your ability to reason will demonstrate to you how and why you must be successful.

"There is only one reason for an individual to side-step to the useless side: the fear of a defeat on the useful side."Alfred Adler

Develop these intellectual faculties and you will strengthen your 'Inner Me', conquer your enemy and achieve great success in life.

Daily Success In Your Life

How would you like to manufacture "a success?" How would you like to have a "success reservoir" into which you could dip whenever you feel low in spirit or have the "blues?" Just follow the instructions, and you'll manufacture "a success," and build your own "success reservoir."

When most of us think of success, it is in terms of a desirable but nebulous something to be achieved in the indefinite future. "Someday, when I have the time and the money," runs such thinking, "I'm going to have" and on continues the dream, each to each man's taste.

The distant goal, the long-range objective, is essential to successful career planning, but the elapse of time alone is not going to get you there. Decision and action are the allies of progress; procrastination is the enemy of progress.
How often you have told yourself of the many little things you could accomplish if you could only get around to it. Those little things could be accomplishments. They can be left to die on the vine with no apparent loss suffered, or they can be made to flourish to the enormous enrichment of your entire life.

Only a very little seed is needed to grow a big tree. While this takes a good many years, it is different with people: one little success can start you on the way to very much larger ones in days, weeks, or even hours.

It's Better If You Like It

What would you like to get done within the next 24 hours? Don't think of some unpleasant chore, like cleaning the basement, when you can just as effectively start out on something pleasant. Think of something that can use the best of your abilities, or improve your mind, like reading the book that you meant to read months ago.

Write it down, and then in more detail describe four steps needed for its accomplishment. You now have a method to use in reaching a pre-arranged objective. Take that Step One, and because yours is a short-term, 24-hour project, you give Time no opportunity to stop you with procrastination. The remaining three steps will follow through on the momentum of Step One.

Let me warn you about that first step. It may look easy, and even pleasant, but the inertia of years of "getting along" is hard to budge in the direction of "getting ahead." Time used those years to get its forces of procrastination deeply entrenched. Before you can move you must overcome both inertia and procrastination, but once you are rolling, the rest is easy.

The result can be a revelation. In one 24-hour period you have proved to yourself that what you have done in a small way you can do on a larger scale with practice. Destroyed forever is the theory that success is a matter of "getting the breaks," or that it comes to some people because they are luckier than others. You have made many mistakes, accidentally. This 24-hour experience proves you can manufacture "a success," purposefully.

Now that you are rolling, continue setting day-to-day seed projects, not forgetting to reward yourself from time to time. My definition of an achievement - something you did well, enjoyed doing, and are proud of. That "enjoyed doing" is as important to over-all success as it is to the achievements that make success possible. Don't let yourself become a slave to success.

It will help you to do this too: At the end of each day, make a note for yourself in answer to the following question, "What's the best thing that happened to me today?" Even on the worst days, some things are just a little better than others. Make a habit of looking for something that is "best" in each of your days.
You are now on the way to making the rest of your life a success.

Obstacles That Can Get In The Way Of Success

By Kevin Sinclair

Fear is sometimes one of the largest obstacles that can get in the way of success. The first step to overcoming such fear, is realizing that you actually have it and the steps which need to be followed to overcome it. We constantly see people who excel themselves in almost everything that they undertake. This may, at times, make you ask yourself "why them and not me?". The reason for this, is that these certain people are focused, and more importantly, fearless.

How can the fear of success be something that someone accuses you of? It is a response that we learn in life. We learn, from an early age, that if we are good at something, we will more than likely be expected to be good at other things too. If we become successful, all of the responsibilities that go along with it, will have to be accepted.

A life example of this would be, that if a disgruntled parent has taught his son that he would not amount to much in his life, then he will never have very much. He was taught not to attempt to live above the way that he was raised. Therefore, because of the father's dreary reality, the future of the son was being judged. This results in the son being programmed to expect failure in his life. This was the reality, for many years, that encompassed the son's life. Success was something that he feared. The ability to be successful was doubted by him, and to compensate for this, he did not even try. He was sure that he would fail anyway, so why bother. This is what justified his reasons for not being successful.

This man, after several years, then decided that he would really like success in his endeavors. He would like to have certain things, to go places and enjoy life. Failure was not something that he wanted to be bound to. He realized that it was actually disapproval that he feared. He did not want to receive his father's disapproval nor the perceived disapproval of his peers.

The fear of success needed to be overcome by him, and for him to do this, he had to access his present life. Every aspect of his life had to be viewed and then the necessary changes had to be made, such as physical changes, emotional changes and spiritual changes.

FEAR translates into "False Experience Appearing Real". In order to expel this fear, it was necessary for him to focus on the positive things and ideas in his life that would bring success. He had to assess his situation and focus on those particular parts of his life that needed improvement. The weaknesses needed to be highlighted and then the remedy had to be focused on. Focusing on weakness only, is part of the human frailty.

It was detrimental that he focused on the positive dimensions of his being, which means the things that he could do well. Of course, he had to notice his weak areas before he could focus on making them stronger. When he eventually realized that all of his weaknesses could be turned into positive strength, it was then that he could begin his journey on the road to success. He discovered a singular truth that changed his perception of his life. When one particular Biblical truth was acknowledged and understood, he then began his positive journey toward every success in his life. It was when he understood that he could literally take each one of his weaknesses and pass them to God, that he had God's strength to carry his forward.

The most important step to take firstly, is to realize that he is a person of infinite value and that he is important. He is loved. He has been shown this by God. His perceptions of his worth has changed. He also changed his perception of the value of God, and he began to realize that, with the help of God, all things are possible, even success.
