The Tides of Success

By George Harrison

Just as with the tides in the sea, there is an ebb and flow to the tides of our "highest good" or Success in life.

If we aren't aware, we could just mistake these "tides of success" for failure when success is actually right at hand. We only need to put ourselves in line with this natural cycle of success to maximize our efforts and to avoid misinterpreting our results.

Sometimes, when our "tide" is out, we have to travel a little further and work a little harder to get our feet "wet" with the waters of Success.

At other times, the "tide" is in, and at those times it's no effort at all to be "swimming in Success".

The Point?

Without understanding the Universal Law that these "tides" are the Natural course of Life and Life's Energies, most of us misinterpret our results as we struggle to "swim in the sand" when the "tide" is out.

Eventually, of course, the "waters of success" will find us again (when the "tide" comes back in again, as it always does), but, we may be discouraged by our results from our attempts and efforts to swim through the sand by then.

We should not mistake these times of exhausting and unrewarded effort as failure by any means.

They're just a Natural process of "timing"

A good example of this cycle can be found in the recent, short book titled "The Dip" by Seth Godin. I recommend you get hold of a copy and read it.

He well illustrates that every field of interest or business eventually hits a low point in the early stages that closely simulates "failure" (like "swimming in the sand" when the tide is out).

Only it isn't failure at all

It's really the point that must be pressed on through while waiting for the "tide" to come in and sweep us to much greater Success in our fields.

He makes other observations as well, but, I draw this one to your attention as it well illustrates something that we commonly encounter: The need for Persistence on the Path to Your Success.

The Hidden Factor.

There is another factor as well to consider and that is whether we are in full self-agreement at all levels with ourselves in the pursuit of our goals and dreams.

If there is a misalignment of our belief systems and our conscious goals, there will be an energy imbalance and blockage of our goals that could easily be mistaken for "The Dip" instead of the fact that we've gone to the "desert" to go swimming instead of the "Sea of Success"!

The results will, at first, seem similar, but, in the desert the "tide" will never come in!

To read some more information I've posted about how you can turn the "desert" of misaligned beliefs and energies into a "Sea of Success and Opportunity", please use the link in the resource box at the end of this article.

It's a simple process that holds out the possibility of changing your results in Life.
